Clinic with a Heart is a faith-inspired organization that provides free healthcare to uninsured and underinsured individuals through a ministry of care.
Our volunteers serve each patient with hospitality, dignity, and grace, offering compassionate support in times of need.
As part of our commitment to those we serve, we also help connect patients to additional human service agencies and guide them toward establishing a long-term healthcare home.
Access to healthcare should not depend on income, insurance status, or circumstance. For many in our community, barriers such as cost, language, transportation, or life transitions make it difficult to receive consistent care.
Clinic with a Heart was founded to bridge that gap. We provide compassionate, high-quality healthcare at no cost, while also serving as a gateway to additional medical and human service resources. Our role is not only to treat illness, but to support people during vulnerable moments and help them take the next steps toward ongoing care.
Margaret came to Clinic with a Heart while rebuilding her life with her two children.
After a difficult divorce, Margaret moved back to Lincoln from Texas with her two children, ages 7 and 9, to be closer to family. The transition left her in a financial bind, and both children needed physicals in order to enroll in school.
Margaret turned to Clinic with a Heart for her family’s medical care. During the physicals, her son did not pass the vision screening. She was relieved to learn that he could return two weeks later to see an optometrist and receive a prescription for glasses, provided at no cost through the generous support of the Star City LIONS Club.
With the support of family and new employment, Margaret is continuing to rebuild stability for herself and her children. She is grateful that Clinic with a Heart was there when her family needed care, helping make a challenging new beginning just a little easier.
